Yanks get the better of BoSox once again

Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) – Brett Gardner finished 2-for-4 with three RBI
and the New York Yankees collected a 4-2 decision over Boston in the middle
test of a three-game series at Fenway Park.

Chris Young homered among his two hits, while Chase Headley doubled and scored
for the Yankees, who won 3-2 in Friday’s opener and have taken five of six
overall.

Nathan Eovaldi (2-0) worked into the seventh, allowing seven hits and a pair
of runs across 6 2/3 innings. Dellin Betances recorded the final four outs to
notch his first save.

Dustin Pedroia homered, Mookie Betts knocked in the other run and David Ortiz
collected a pair of hits for the Red Sox, who have dropped five of seven to
fall back to .500 and 12-12.

Wade Miley (1-3) was tagged in the loss for three runs on seven hits over
seven full frames.
