Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) – The Chicago White Sox made a bevy of roster
moves Thursday, headlined by pitcher Ronald Belisario being designated for
assignment.
Belisario, 31, struggled in his only year with the White Sox, going 4-8 with
eight saves and a 5.56 earned run average over 62 appearances. He allowed 46
runs in 66 1/3 innings.
The White Sox also claimed pitcher Onelki Garcia off waivers from the Los
Angeles Dodgers, outrighted outfielder Jared Mitchell to Triple-A Charlotte
and purchased the contracts of four players. Infielders Rangel Ravelo and
Tyler Saladino, pitcher Frankie Montas and catcher Kevan Smith were added to
the 40-man roster.
