Red Sox, Nava agree to 1-year deal

Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) – The Boston Red Sox avoided arbitration with
outfielder/first baseman Daniel Nava, agreeing to a one-year deal on Thursday.

The 31-year-old spent most of the 2014 season with the Red Sox, batting .270
along with 21 doubles, four home runs, 37 RBI, 33 walks, and 41 runs scored in
113 games.

Nava has hit .273 with 85 doubles, one triple, 23 home runs and 162 RBI in 395
career major league games, all with the Red Sox.

Pitcher Wade Miley is the only unsigned Red Sox player who is arbitration
eligible.
