Surprise, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) – Texas Rangers infielder Jurickson Profar
will miss the upcoming season after undergoing right shoulder surgery on
Monday.
Profar originally decided to put off the surgery to repair his partially torn
labrum back in September, but the procedure proved to be unavoidable.
The 22-year-old Profar has been plagued by shoulder problems since 2010 and
missed all of last season with a strained muscle in his shoulder.
Profar batted .234 with six homers and 26 RBI in 85 games for Texas in 2013
after making his debut with the team in 2012.
