Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) – The Baltimore Orioles and pitcher Zach
Britton avoided arbitration on Wednesday, agreeing to terms on a contract for
the 2015 season.
Britton went 3-2 with a 1.65 earned run average and recorded a career-high 37
saves for the AL East champions. The left-hander finished the season ranked
fourth among Junior Circuit relievers in saves and became the 10th different
Oriole to record a 30-save season in club history.
Over 119 games (46 starts) in the majors since 2011, Britton holds a 21-19
record with a 4.05 ERA.
With the signing, Alejandro De Aza is the last Oriole eligible for
arbitration.
