Orioles reach deal with Hunter

Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) – The Baltimore Orioles and reliever Tommy
Hunter have avoided arbitration Monday by agreeing to contract terms for the
upcoming season.

The Baltimore Sun reported Hunter will earn $4.65 million in 2015, his final
season before being eligible for free agency.

Hunter began last season as the Orioles’ closer before being supplanted by
Zach Britton in May. The right-hander still finished with a career-high 11
saves to go along with a 3-2 record and a 2.97 ERA over 60 appearances.

The 28-year-old owns a 42-31 mark with a 4.32 ERA in 226 career major league
games, all but 75 of which have come in relief.
