San Diego, CA (SportsNetwork.com) – Brandon Morrow tossed seven strong
innings, while Alexi Amarista homered as San Diego beat Los Angeles, 3-1, in
Sunday’s series finale.
Morrow (1-0) surrendered a run on five hits and a walk while striking out
four. Craig Kimbrel had a quiet ninth en route to his sixth save.
Derek Norris finished with a solo shot among his two hits and drove in the
other two runs for the Padres, who avoided a sweep and put an end to a four-
game losing streak.
Alex Guerrero picked up two hits including a home run for the Dodgers, who
have lost four of their last six.
Scott Baker (0-1) gave up three runs on four hits with six strikeouts and two
walks.
