Flushing, NY (Sports Network) – The New York Mets placed third baseman David
Wright on the 15-day disabled list on Wednesday with a mild right hamstring
strain.
Wright underwent an MRI on Wednesday and received a cortisone shot. He is
expected to resume baseball activities on Friday.
Wright had started his 12th big-league season off on the right foot, hitting
.333 with a home run, four RBI and two stolen bases over the first eight
games.
To fill his spot on the roster, the Mets called up third baseman Eric Campbell
from Triple-A Las Vegas.
