Mets’ d’Arnaud, Blevins suffer fractures

Flushing, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – New York Mets catcher Travis d’Arnaud and
pitcher Jerry Blevins both suffered fractures in Sunday’s 7-6 win over the
Miami Marlins.

Blevins suffered his injury in the top of the seventh inning when a liner off
the bat of Dee Gordon hit him in the left forearm. He was still able to pick
up the ball and make a throw to first to get Gordon out, but departed the
game after the play.

In the home half of the seventh, d’Arnaud led off the inning and was drilled
in the hand by a pitch from A.J. Ramos. He immediately departed the game and
was replaced by Anthony Recker.

The team later announced that both players suffered fractures.
