Mariners LHP Rollins suspended 80 games

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – Seattle Mariners left-handed pitcher David
Rollins has been handed an 80-game suspension after testing positive for
Stanozolol, a banned performance-enhancing substance.

Rollins, 25, was competing for a spot in Seattle’s bullpen. In eight innings
this spring, he allowed just one run on five hits with seven strikeouts and no
walks.

Because Rollins was selected in the Rule 5 draft from Houston, he must remain
on the Mariners’ active roster for the entire season after completion of the
suspension or be offered back to the Astros.
