Cleveland, OH (SportsNetwork.com) – Cleveland Indians second baseman Jason
Kipnis underwent surgery Tuesday to repair a damaged tendon in his left ring
finger.
The team said Wednesday that Kipnis was injured during strength and
conditioning activities, but expects him to be ready for the start of the
regular season.
Kipnis, 27, batted .240 with six home runs and 41 RBI in 129 games this past
season.
