Dodgers sign Beachy

Glendale, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) – The Los Angeles Dodgers have signed pitcher
Brandon Beachy to a one-year contract with a club option for 2016.

Beachy is still recovering from the second Tommy John surgery of his career
and will likely start the season on the disabled list. He missed all of last
season due to the procedure.

The 28-year-old went 14-11 with a 3.23 ERA in 46 career starts with Atlanta
from 2010-13. He also had the surgery in June of 2012.

After making his MLB debut as a September call-up in 2010, the right-hander
went 7-3 with a 3.68 ERA in 25 starts in 2011.

To create room on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers placed pitcher Chris Withrow
on the 60-day disabled list.
