Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) – The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired
right-hander Ryan Webb from the Baltimore Orioles in a four-player trade.
The Dodgers received a competitive-balance pick, Webb and minor league catcher
Brian Ward in exchange for minor league catcher Chris O’Brien and minor league
pitcher Ben Rowen.
Webb was 3-3 with a 3.83 ERA in 51 relief appearances for Baltimore last
season. The 29-year-old Florida native is 16-18 with a 3.38 ERA over 317
career games with the Padres, Marlins and Orioles.
Ward hit .242 with two home runs and 22 RBI in 72 games between Double-A Bowie
and Triple-A Norfolk in 2014.
O’Brien batted .266 with seven home runs and a career-high 53 RBI in his first
full season at the Double-A level with Chattanooga in 2014.
Rowen went 3-0 with a 3.45 ERA in 34 games with Triple-A Round Rock in 2014.
The right-hander also pitched in eight games for the Rangers last season,
posting a 4.15 ERA.
