Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) – The Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals
will play Major League Baseball’s 2015 season opener on Sunday night, April 5.
The long-time rivals were originally set to start the season on Monday, April
6, but will now do so in a nationally televised, stand-alone game on ESPN2.

It will be the first season-opening night game in Wrigley Field history.
The teams will then take Monday off before resuming the three-game series on
Tuesday and concluding it on Wednesday afternoon. The original schedule called
for Monday afternoon and Tuesday off before games on Wednesday and Thursday.
