Bumgarner outduels Kershaw in Giants’ win

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) – Madison Bumgarner outdueled Clayton
Kershaw in a showdown between two of baseball’s best arms on Tuesday night.

Bumgarner struck out nine over eight innings, and the San Francisco Giants
ended the Los Angeles Dodgers’ eight-game home winning streak with a 2-1
victory.

Bumgarner (2-1) allowed a run on five hits with one walk.

Batterymate Buster Posey homered and hit an RBI single to support Bumgarner’s
gem.

Joaquin Arias went 3-for-3 and Angel Pagan added two hits and scored a run for
the Giants, who bounced back from an 8-3 loss Monday in the opener of this
three-game series.

Kershaw (1-2) gave up two runs on seven hits and struck out eight with no
walks over his seven innings.
