Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) – Jean Segura knocked in the go-ahead run in
the bottom of the seventh inning, allowing Milwaukee to claim a 4-2 decision
over Cincinnati in the finale of a four-game set.
Adam Lind finished with a solo homer among his three hits while Aramis Ramirez
also went deep for the Brewers, who avoided a sweep.
Kyle Lohse (1-3) gave up two runs on three hits while striking out four over
seven innings. Francisco Rodriguez closed out the contest on a scoreless ninth
to post his second save.
Marlon Byrd’s two-run homer in the fifth accounted for the only meaningful
offense by the Reds, who came into the series having dropped four in a row.
Kevin Gregg (0-2) was charged with the deciding run over his 1 1/3-inning
relief stint. Homer Bailey worked the first 5 2/3 frames, allowing seven hits
and a pair of runs.
