Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) – The Milwaukee Brewers avoided arbitration
with outfielder Gerardo Parra by agreeing to a one-year deal Friday.
The deal is reportedly worth $6.2375 million.
Parra was acquired by the Brewers on July 31 in a trade with Arizona for minor
leaguers Anthony Banda and Mitch Haniger. He hit .261 with nine home runs, 22
doubles and 40 RBI in 150 combined games in 2014.
The two-time Gold Glove winner is a career .274 hitter with 42 homers, 146
doubles and 260 RBI in 833 games with Arizona and Milwaukee.
