Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) – The Atlanta Braves have come to terms with
right-handed pitcher Jason Grilli on a two-year contract with a club option
for 2017.
Grilli has 45 saves over the last two seasons, including 33 for the Pirates in
2013. The 38-year-old had a combined 1-5 mark with a 4.00 ERA and 12 saves in
62 appearances for Pittsburgh and the Angels this past season.
He was dealt to the Angels on June 27 for pitcher Ernesto Frieri.
In 12 seasons, Grilli has compiled a 22-32 mark with a 4.16 ERA and 50 saves
playing for the Marlins, White Sox, Tigers, Rockies, Rangers, Pirates and
Angels.
