Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) – The Houston Astros and outfielder Alex
Presley agreed to terms on a one-year contract Tuesday, avoiding arbitration.
No financial terms were disclosed by the team, but the Houston Chronicle
reported it’s worth $1 million.
The 29-year-old hit .244 with six doubles, six home runs and 19 RBI over 89
games in his first year with the franchise.
Presley is a lifetime .259 hitter who has collected 23 homers, 38 doubles and
79 runs batted in over 321 appearances for the Pirates, Twins and Astros since
2010.
